Inside the house you’ll find reminders of the outdoors. A vase of flowers, fresh picked vegetables on the kitchen counter, and a bowl of rocks in the living room. I don’t know why we seem to collect rocks. After a walk in the forest, a stroll on a beach or almost any outdoors excursion we’ll find small souvenirs in our pockets — rocks or shells or sometime pinecones.
Each one has a memory.
When our son got home from his study in Spain a few days ago he proudly presented us with — a rock. Our collection grows.
I know what you mean, I tend to pick up random stones when walking…don’t tell anyone!
Oh I LOVE rocks! Glad I’m not the only one who loves to just place them around the house. I even have some in my bathroom sink. There’s something so wonderful about bringing a little bit of nature inside your living space. Makes you feel all earthy and crap! HA HA! Really pretty mix here.
